Most countries in this territory have the same import requirements in order to obtain the export permit with SENASA. However, they differ in terms of pre-flight deworming timelines, mandatory microchip implantation for some, apostille by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and/or additional pre-travel tests.

Argentina

Importation of dogs and cats requires that they have up-to-date annual vaccinations, as well as internal and external deworming, a Zoosanitary Export Certificate, and kennel disinfection.

Colombia

For the importation of dogs and cats, it is required that they have current annual vaccinations, as well as internal and external deworming, a Zoosanitary Export Certificate, and kennel disinfection.

Brazil

Requiere para la importación de perros y gatos que éstos se encuentren con las vacunas anuales vigentes, así como desparasitación interna y externa, Certificado Zoosanitario de Exportación, y desinfección del kennel (jaula). Tiempo aproximado de trámite: 1-2 semanas.

Chile

For the importation of dogs and cats, it is required that they have current annual vaccinations, a microchip, as well as internal and external deworming, a Zoosanitary Export Certificate, and kennel disinfection. Additionally, a negative Leishmania test is required.
